M.N. Sharma Photography Award 2023

MN Sharma Architectural Society in collaboration with Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi takes immense pleasure in inviting photo entries for the MN Sharma Photography Award 2023. This year the theme for Photography contest is, “Art in Chandigarh". The photography contest is being organised for the youth of Tricity, aged between 18-30 years.

City Beautiful - Chandigarh is brimming with examples of art in every aspect. The term “Art” in Chandigarh thus - besides covering obvious items like sculptures and paintings, extends to other unconventional forms like reliefs and motifs in concrete, tapestries, architectural details like precast parapets, brick jaali patterns etc. Capture some images of such Art sprinkled in the city and how they impact their surroundings.

Each participant may send a maximum of three photographs in JPG format in 18x24 inches size (colored/black and white) of high resolution in the google form. The entries will be judged by the eminent jury. The best entry will receive MN Sharma Photography Award 2023 with a citation and a Award of Rs. 25000/- Selected photographs will be showcased in the photography exhibition to be held end of October 2023. Copyright of selected entries will remain with MN Sharma Architectural Society & Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi. The decision of the jury will be final. The earlier winners can participate but they will not be entitled to the award.

The artists must send their original works with an undertaking in the prescribed Google form latest by 21st October 2023. A self-attested photocopy of Aadhar card or College ID card for the proof of address and age along with the prescribed Proforma should be submitted with the entry.
