M. N. Sharma Memorial Lecture & Scholarship Award Ceremony 2026

The M. N. Sharma Architectural Society, Chandigarh, in collaboration with the Chandigarh College of Architecture, is pleased to invite architects, academicians, students, and architecture enthusiasts to the M. N. Sharma Memorial Lecture and Scholarship Award Ceremony to be held on 4th August 2026 at 4:30 PM at ‘Anjuman’, Chandigarh College of Architecture.

As a tribute to the visionary architect M. N. Sharma, the first Chief Architect of Chandigarh and a significant contributor to India’s modern architectural movement, the annual memorial lecture seeks to continue his legacy of architectural excellence, critical dialogue, and knowledge exchange.

This year’s memorial lecture will be delivered by eminent Jaipur-based architect Ravi Gupta, who will share his perspectives and experiences on contemporary architectural practice, design philosophy, and the evolving role of architecture in shaping human environments.

The occasion will also mark the M. N. Sharma Scholarship Award Ceremony, where the topper of the 6th semester of Chandigarh College of Architecture will be recognised and felicitated for outstanding academic achievement.

Through this annual initiative, the M. N. Sharma Architectural Society continues its commitment to nurturing young architectural talent, encouraging academic excellence, and fostering meaningful conversations within the architectural community.
