HERITAGE WALK

A Heritage Walk was organized on 11th April, 2026 by M N Sharma Architectural Society in collaboration with the Alumni Association and Architect’s Office, Panjab University, Chandigarh, to commemorate the 100th birth anniversary of Ar. B.P. Mathur, a valued member of Le Corbusier’s team.

Participants explored some of his notable works on campus, including the Department of Indian Theatre, the Fine Arts Museum, and the Law Auditorium. Ar. B.P. Mathur also collaborated with Pierre Jeanneret in designing the Students’ Centre, further enriching the architectural legacy of the university.

The event witnessed an overwhelming response, with a large number of participants from across the tricity joining the walk and celebrating this remarkable architectural heritage.
