✨ Two Heritage Walks by MN Sharma Architectural Society Successfully Organised! ✨
The MN Sharma Architectural Society, in collaboration with Panjab University’s Institute of Global Studies and University Institute of Hotel & Tourism Management, recently organised two exclusive heritage tours of Chandigarh’s Capitol Complex—a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an architectural masterpiece by Le Corbusier.
🕌 Walk 1: Under the initiative Learn Beyond Books, PU’s Institute of Global Studies led a guided walk for Business Administration students. The tour was designed to take learning beyond traditional classrooms and encourage real-world exposure to leadership, management, organisational behaviour, civic design and architectural history.
🏛️ Walk 2: A special heritage exploration for tourism students of UIHTM was conducted, offering first-hand insights into heritage tourism management, modernist architecture, city planning and Chandigarh’s design philosophy.
🤝 Faculty & coordinators shared that the walk not only expanded academic horizons but also strengthened critical thinking, teamwork, experiential learning and interdisciplinary understanding.
🌟 Highlights:
✔️ Guided exploration of the Capitol Complex✔️ Insights into Le Corbusier’s vision✔️ Learning leadership & organisational models through architecture✔️ Understanding heritage tourism, design & culture
🧭 The tour featured iconic landmarks:
The High Court
